Bernie, you are a VERY small man

Spotted via , the latest investigation as reported on the official FIA site:

Statements attributed to the management of BAR Honda are currently under investigation in the light of the team’s obligation to do nothing “prejudicial to the image and dignity of Formula One racing” or “prejudicial to the interests of any competition or to the interests of motor sport generally”.

“Prejudicial to the image and dignity of Formula One racing”? So when are Bernie & Max getting the chop? Ecclestone especially has made the FIA look more and more like a joke (run for his personal financial gain) over the past few years!

I think it’s time the teams seriously thought about the breakaway championship (GPWC) and leave Bernie, Ferrari and Sauber to play in their little sandpit by themselves.

[Thanks to for pointing me at the statement in question.]

Talking of disagreeing with courts’ verdicts, didn’t a certain Mr. B. Ecclestone bribe agree to give the F1 teams £260 million in return for them signing a new Concorde Agreement, basically forcing SLEC’s major shareholder, Speed Investments (Bayerische Landesbank, J.P. Morgan Chase and Lehman Brothers), to back down and leave him in charge? Wasn’t that signed the day after a court determined that Ecclestone should hand over more control to Speed Investments?

“The banks don’t have anything – no rights whatsoever. The banks are shareholders of SLEC, and SLEC has no rights. … I am the CEO of Formula One Management and Formula One Administration, which runs the business in F1. From this point of view, I own F1.”

Never trust a used-car salesman!

[Who owns what?] [How rich?]
