French Grand Prix – Friday practice
Aargh! I hate Speed’s commentators – they’re clueless! (Awful pronunciation of the French names; stupid mock-French accents; calling Pedro de la Rosa “Pete Rose”!)
Kimi Raikkonen’s engine let go early in the second practice session, so that’s a 10-grid-place penalty for him.
Jarno Trulli was the only one not to set a time.
Webber went off early in Turn 7 in his BMW Williams; Liuzzi spun his Red Bull into the Turn 12 gravel; and Monteiro lost his Jordan over the kerbs in Turn 17, the chicane before the final corner. The yellow car danced dramatically in the air before crashing down and damaging its left rear suspension, and he pulled off in Turn 4.
