Turkish Grand Prix – Qualifying
Ignoring the Friday drivers, McLaren was fastest in yesterday’s practice.
Batch 1: DC, CK, RD, JM, JV
D.Coulthard – S1=33.6; S2=65.5; S3/lap=1:29.764 = provisional P1
C.Klien – S1=33.4; S2=64.6; 1:28.963 = pP1 by 0.801s
R.Doornbos – S1=35.6; S2=70.7; lap aborted – looks like both rear brakes are on fire! Complete absence of marshalls!! In the end Minardi mechanics run down with extinguishers! 
J.Montoya – S1=32.7; S2=63.6; 1:27.352 takes pP1 by 1.611s
J.Villeneuve – S1=33.0; runs wide in Turn 8 and then spins off; stalls it and he’s out of the car; red flags are out but it’s the end of Batch 1 (time for a commercial break) anyway.
Batch 2: CA, FM, TM, NK, FA
C.Albers – S1=34.7; S2=67.0; 1:32.186 = pP4
F.Massa – S1=33.1; S2=64.3; 1:28.419 = pP2
T.Monteiro – S1=33.8; S2=66.2; 1:30.710 = pP5 – looked quite slow through the last few corners
N.Karthikeyan – had an engine change this morning; turns into the pits at the end of his out lap
F.Alonso – S1=32.6; S2=63.2; 1:27.050 for pP1 by 0.302s
Batch 3: RB, GF, TS, MW, NH
R.Barrichello – S1=33.3; S2=64.9; 1:29.369 = pP5
G.Fisichella – S1=32.6; S2=63.4; 1:27.039 = pP1 by 0.011s – he made up a lot in S3
T.Sato – S1=32.8; runs wide in T8 but rejoins; 1:30.175 = pP8
M.Webber – S1=32.8; S2=63.8 (caught TS but he ran right off track to let him through); 1:27.944 = pP4
N.Heidfeld – S1=32.8; S2=63.8; 1:27.929 = pP4
Batch 4: JB, JT, RS, MS, KR
J.Button – S1=32.4; runs wide in T8, rejoins but wide again; S2=65.8; 1:30.063 = pP10
J.Trulli – S1=32.7; S2=63.5; 1:27.501 = pP4
R.Schumacher – S1=32.7; runs a little wide; S2=64.5; 1:28.594 = pP8
M.Schumacher – S1=32.9; spins off and rejoins, but he’s coasting back to the pits
K.Raikkonen – S1=32.4; S2=63.0; 1:26.797 = P1 by 0.242s
