Having spent yesterday adding stuff, it’s time to chop it back!
So, as I said I would, I spent yesterday adding buttons and so on to the side bar. It’s now taking a bit too long to load (~0.7secs/page) so I’m going to try to make the sidebar “smarter” by using collapsing trees.
This looks like a neat site, and very helpful. … … I’ve made the changes; let me know if you have any problems. (Either comment on this entry or use the links under Contact Us in the sidebar.)
It looks like the slowest part of the page is its dealings with referrer.org. (With referrers, load time ~0.6secs; without ~0.5secs.) I wonder if there’s a better site to track where my visitors are coming from? Hang on – my hit counters hold that info! I can’t include the info on the webpage, but it’s there (on the counter’s site) if I want to see it. D’oh.
