Alumni update
Something must have made me think about my old university last night because I woke up and thought “I need to update my alumni profile and see who else is on there”.
Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be very many people registered on the Lancaster University Alumni Database – is that because they don’t know about it or don’t want to add their info?
Anyway, I updated my info; how long does it take to write a brief bio of what you’ve done since graduating? (OK, so it was a few years ago which means there’s a fair bit that I want to mention.) Once I started writing it went quite quickly, and then I posted it … only to discover the last third had been chopped off! Where was the warning that there’s a limit of ~2,500 characters? (I hadn’t expected to write that much!) A bit of trimming here and there, and now it’s posted … with about 6 characters to spare!
I guess this would be a good time to plug the different alumni databases I use, and ask if there are others (for UK universities) that I should know about?

So leave a comment if you know of other UK alumni databases … or, of course, if you were at Lancaster too!

Henman isn’t my real name, honest!), which led me to The Bloggers’ Rights Blog, where I found my old university listed under Blogophobic Companies/Organizations! Technorati Tags: blog config [...]
