What’s up with “track.myblog.com”?
There’s something up with “track.myblog.com” and it’s preventing my blog pages from loading!
As a short-term fix, I’ll have to disable it but it’s really annoying that something that should be a background tracking tool (to help me understand why people visit this site) should actually prevent visitors.
Hmm, maybe it’s more than that. The main blog page loads OK but every single-entry page (e.g. if you want to comment on a post) hangs after just the blog title is displayed. It doesn’t make sense – the next things to load are our photos, same as on the main page, which works without a problem. I’m not sure how to track this one down. (Answer: tail the HTTPD logs.)
Even more curious is that only Opera (on Win2k and FC3) exhibits this problem – Mozilla (on Win2k and FC3) is fine, as is IE. In fact Opera takes ~4 times as long to load the page! Odd, eh?
