The US have found WMDs in Iraq … but it’s the US who’s using them!

Unbelievable! Just when you think the US fiasco in Viet..Iraq can’t get any worse, there’s this! Spotted in Zaphod’s Heads’ blog, there’s a quote from The Bulldog Manifesto’s post:

In contravention to various international treaties, the United States has used outlawed weapons of mass destruction against Iraqi civilians. Consider the irony.

An Italian New Channel (RAI 24) televised a graphic VIDEO documenting U.S. use of white phosphorus and napalm against Iraqi civilians. I strongly suggest everybody watch the entire production. It is graphic, but people need to see it.

The post in Zaphod’s Heads adds:

In 1980, the use of Napalm was banned by the United Nations. The U.S. still holds out against this ban today. Use of white phosphorus is not specifically banned by any treaty, however, the 1980 Geneva Protocol on Prohibitions or Restrictions on the Use of Incendiary Weapons (Protocol III) prohibits the use of incendiary weapons against civilian populations or by air attack against military forces that are located within concentrations of civilians. The U.S. is among the nations that have not signed this protocol.Wikipedia

The video is available in Italian and English, in ASF, WMV and REAL formats; I downloaded the 44Mb WMV file and it took about 30 minutes over cable modem (only achieved ~22Kbp/s download), but the film is about half an hour long, and of course it contains graphic scenes which may not be appropriate blah, blah.

According to Alta Vista’s Babel Fish Translation, the Italian text says:

The hidden massacre
of Sigfrido Ranucci

“I have felt it order to make attention because he came used phosphorus white man on Fallujah. In the military jargon he comes called Willy Pete. The phosphorus burns the bodies, quite melts them “.
It is this the tremendous testimony of Jeff Englehart, veteran of the war in Iraq. “I have seen the bodies burns you of women and children have added to the former soldier American-the phosphorus explode and form a cloud, who find themselves in the beam of 150 meters are dealt”.
Witnesses have seen “a rain of incendiarie substances of varied color that, when they hit, burnt the persons and also those that were not hit had difficulty to breathe”, tell Mohamad Tareq al-Deraji, director of the center studies for the human rights of Fallujah.

It’s interesting to hear that the British Ministry of Defence has confirmed that the US military used MK77, which is very similar to napalm.

The US military and US government continue to act illegally, in contravention of the United Nations and the Geneva Convention … but that’s OK, because “9/11″ gives Bush carte blanche, or at least that’s what all too many people are willing to believe.

  4. It’s unbelievable sadly believable that the world’s media haven’t been showing this over and over; if it was anyone other than the USA committing these illegal acts, you know they would.
