Things I miss about England – Top Ten Tuesday #2
As predicted last week, this week’s Top Ten Tuesday is “things I miss about England”:
- Not having to wonder if someone’s carrying a gun … unless you’re in Manchester!
- People able to spell my surname…
- …but when they can’t, being able to say “as in the tennis player” and not get a blank stare
- Fish & chips
- A regular, reliable postal service
- Summer – it’s not supposed to be as humid as it gets here in Toronto!
- Driving on the correct side of the road…
- …in my own car!
- Real beer
- Friends and family

Also, TV without (or with fewer) adverts.
N.American TV has ~20 minutes of ads every hour … and then there’s often a re-cap at the restart for all the idiots who can’t remember what happened 3 minutes ago.
Oh for the BBC!
…And watching motor racing, especially live @ Silverstone.
