Blog of the week – 2005.48

I’ve always liked maps, and Google Maps (“gmaps” to the in crowd!) are really note, so it was only a matter of time before this made it to my blog of the week: Google Maps Mania is “an unofficial Google Maps blog tracking the websites, ideas and tools being influenced by Google Maps”.

I keep watching Google Maps Mania in the hope that someone will publish a tool to answer all the “how do I get to [somewhere] on TTC” that keep cropping up in the LiveJournal Toronto community. (In the meantime you can download TTC subway station placemarks for Google Earth from here.)

The Beer Hunter is a neat mashup showing “places you can get booze right now“. :)
It only shows off-sales so I created a quick map of the bars listed on BarTowel.com, “Toronto’s premier beer resource” … although I know the list is incomplete. Time for some research. :)
