Shutting down shortly
Extra memory has arrived (1Gb RAM from TigerDirect.ca) so I’ll be shutting the server down at 3pm. I’ll take this opportunity to try to untangle the mess of cables stuffed back there too, so hopefully we’ll be back up by 3:30.
Finished; server now has 2Gb RAM!

Having finally fixed the Windows Update problem on a friend’s laptop, I thought I’d do a Top 2 things I hate most about Microsoft:
- Everything!
- Yeah, everything!
Seriously, I am so glad to come home to my Linux box after fighting with XP all day long. Who in their right mind designs an operating system that lets applications overwrite another program’s critical files? Then again, it was a Microsoft program that overwrote a Microsoft system file – why was I surprised?
