Spam, spam, spam, spam….

  • Approximately 66% of spam e-mail is false in some way.
  • More than 90% of spam involving investment and business opportunities contains false or misleading information.
  • My email accounts get ~100-120 spam emails a day, of which only ~5-7 make it through to me – the rest is correctly spotted and handled by a couple of anti-spam tools.
  • Our blog gets an average of 20 spam comments per day, all of which are identified and handled by the anti-spam software. Unfortunately it does quarantine the odd non-spam comment, but I process these manually on a weekly basis.
