Top 2 Tuesday … yes, I know it’s Saturday (2006.33)

I missed posting a Top 2 list on Tuesday, so here are my Top 2 things I’ve attended in the past week or so:

  1. Spamalot (July 28th)
    Kerri & I went with Andy & Renee. It was better than I’d hoped – I was trying to keep my expectations low in case they ruined my beloved Monty Python, but actually it was pretty good. They included the majority of Holy Grail’s story line (trimmed a bit for time, I suspect) but also threw in the odd reference to Life of Brian, snippets from Meaning of Life, and even the TV shows.
    p.s. Thanks again to the guy sitting behind us for saying “I get it now” about 10 seconds behind each joke – that enhanced the experience no end.
  2. Toronto beer festival @ Fort York (August 12)
    Andy, Paul & I went on “sold out Saturday” :) It wasn’t as crowded as previous years, but yet again they’d rearranged the venue layout.
    New favourite tipples: Scotch Irish brewery‘s Dogsbody Ale and Tsarina Katarina Imperial Stout.
    Old favourites revisited: Cameron’s Dark 266; Granite‘s Peculiar; Steam Whistle; Church-Key‘s Holy Smoke; Innis & Gunn oak-aged beer.
