Brazilian Grand Prix – Practice sessions
It’s the final race of the season; Alonso has a 10 point lead over Michael Schumacher, so MS needs to finish first and for FA not to score any points if he’s to win the Drivers’ Championship.
Friday Practice 1:
Track temp 35°C; air 22°C; wind 2.2m/s; humidity 66%
K.Raikkonen 1:13.764
Only 17/29 set a lap time; MS, FM, MW & NR didn’t even come out of the pits.
Friday Practice 2:
Track temp 30°C; air 21°C; wind 1.4m/s; humidity 70%
A.Wurz 1:12.547
MS 1:13.713 (P6) / FA 1:13.820 (P10) / JB 1:13.485 (P5)
Saturday Practice:
Track temp 37°C; air 20°C; wind 2.4m/s; humidity 67%
F.Massa fastest with 1:11.443; MS in P2 with 1:11.631
Button (P3) 1:12.306 and Alonso P7(!) with 1:12.721 – that’s over a second behind MS, but remember that Renault have said they’re going for reliability rather than flat out speed.
Should be a good one!
Qualifying is at 1pm (my time) today, and I’ll be doing my notes as usual.
