Technologically challenged
I was hoping that my PDA‘s charger just didn’t like being connected to UK mains power (which meant I couldn’t recharge my PDA, so it completely ran out of juice before we came home) but it looks like the charger’s dead because it still won’t work even now we’re home – and I hope it’s the charger, not the PDA itself! (It almost certainly is – the PDA discharged at the usual rate, not a sudden failure.) Looks like I could be in the market for a new Tungsten charger very soon. [Options: 1, 2]
WinAmp is also refusing to cooperate this morning – if I point it at my hard drive containing the (legit) MP3 copies of my CDs, it crashes. I know I have quite a few CDs (>700) but I haven’t finished ripping Artists V-Z, and I got a few new CDs for Xmas, so hopefully I can find a fix for this or WinAmp will have to be replaced. (I am running v5.32, which is the latest – maybe I should go back to an older version?)
And, because everything happens in threes, my mouse is flashing at me! Hopefully that’s simply a case of putting new batteries in it and nothing sinister – I didn’t notice it flashing, however, before I spilt orange juice over it yesterday. D’oh!
