Apparently there’s a need to go shopping
I don’t understand it but the womenfolk announced that they needed to go shopping – not for anything, just to go!? I needed to sort out my bank accounts (to change my address, but I couldn’t do it online because I’d forgotten my access info and if I asked for it to be reset they’d post it to my registered address!) which took all of 20 minutes, so my dad & I headed to a local hostelry to partake in a couple of pints of Timothy Taylors’ Landlord. We eventually met up with the shopping party and went to a different pub for lunch, then headed home to sleep it all off. 
In the evening Kerri & I went in to town for a curry at a restaurant that had been recommended to us by a guy in a pub. The meal was very good, as was the service, so we brought a menu home for my dad.
