Heaven and Hell at the ACC

I saw a posting of “Heaven and Hell Tour” at the Air Canada Centre on March 22nd. The line-up is Geezer Butler, Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi and Vinny Appice – could be fun (although that’s not my favourite Sabbath line-up).

According to the ACC site:

Tickets go on sale Friday, January 26th @10AM
Tickets (incl. GST) are $59.50 *Plus applicable service charges & facility fees

Apparently Megadeth and Down are opening.

  2. The boys of Heaven and Hell seemed mildly annoyed to be pulled away from their secluded estates to go out on tour for needed financial gain. Tony reminded me of myself sitting at the kitchen table in the morning with a coffee and newspaper plucking away at the guitar almost subconsiously. The best part of the show was seeing the transormation of all the fans that were probably at my first ever concert some twenty two or three years ago at the C.N.E to see the same line-up for the Mob Rules show(was Bill Ward on drums for that one?) We were all a little skinnier then and the mullets have been replaced by skullets.

  4. Aargh! I completely forgot about the concert! Mind you, that was Thursday night, wasn’t it? I was working late again. :(

Sounds like they weren’t on top form though; that’s a shame. Last time I saw Sabbath (in 2001) I thought they were showing their age too.

  6. Luckily I had Friday off. Seems that I suffer the late nights a little more severly than I used to. That was my third time seeing them. the other show was with Ian Gillian singing and Quiet Riot opened on the Born Again tour. A band I regret never seeing is The Scorpions so off we go on a motorcycle trip to Ottawa in August before they hit the Geritol Ward.
