Friday Five for 01.26.07: Jobs

From the LiveJournal “Friday Five” community, yesterday’s questions:

1. Would you rather have a fun job that doesn’t pay well or a boring job that does?
I’ve always been lucky enough (or patient enough) to find a job which is fun & interesting; fortunately these have also been (at least) reasonably well-paid positions.

2. Would you sacrifice your morals for a job?
There was a rumour that my current company might be assimilated by Microsoft, which would present a real dilemma for me, but sometimes one can make more of a difference making changes from the inside rather than fighting from outside. But if I was offered a bucket load of money (or a flashy laptop) to write pro-Microsoft blog entries, I’d have no problem turning it down.

3. Would you ever take a job that requires you to be in costume?
Doesn’t a business suit count as a costume? Beyond that, no – it’s so not me!

4. What is your fantasy job?
Professional beer & pizza taster … or racing car driver. I probably shouldn’t try to merge those jobs though.

5. Would you like fries with that?
If by fries you mean chips, yes please. I don’t even like to eat at fast food places so there’s no way I’d ever work in one.
