I would say no, purely based on the fact that all bar one Dell I have known (we use them at work) has had INNUMERABLE problems.
I’ve heard other people say the same but so far (touch wood) our Dell laptop hasn’t had any hardware problems in 4+ years.
Mind you, I’ve seen the same problems with other manufacturers (e.g. Compaq/HP, Toshiba, IBM, Apple) but then you’re bound to see more instances of problems if you buy lots of anything – I’m just hoping ours won’t be a Friday build.
