I should get the day off for my patron saint’s day
The good news is it looks inevitable that St George’s Day will become a public holiday in England reports the BBC, and some companies are leading the way.
April 23rd is St.George’s Day, but few people know that. I suspect not many people know that St.George is the patron saint of England, or that the flag of St.George is the English flag – the Union flag (OK, Union Jack if you must) is the flag of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. If you don’t know the difference between England, Britain and the United Kingdom, then check out my page that gives a bit of explanation and background.
