Map the Internet
There’s a project to map the Internet – it’s just a Google map signup thing but the guy’s video uses some dubious maths to show that, if everyone tells 3 friends, the entire Internet will sign up in 37 minutes or something silly. Of course that has two major flaws:
- everyone tells 3 different people – he hasn’t allowed for duplicates
- he’s assumed geeks actually have 3 friends!
Anyway, check out the project and spot other geeks in your area.
Missing the bus stop
GrandPrix.com reports that work is underway to remove the “bus stop” chicane at the Belgian F1 circuit (Spa Francorchamps) – this is not good news. I hope they’re not filling in Eau Rouge too, so that it’ll be as dull as the newer circuits like Bahrain.
Now I’m going to have to dig out the steering wheel & pedals for my games PC and fire up Formula One 2000 so I can do a few laps of the excellent (i.e. old) Spa circuit.

I should get the day off for my patron saint’s day
The good news is it looks inevitable that St George’s Day will become a public holiday in England reports the BBC, and some companies are leading the way.
April 23rd is St.George’s Day, but few people know that. I suspect not many people know that St.George is the patron saint of England, or that the flag of St.George is the English flag – the Union flag (OK, Union Jack if you must) is the flag of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. If you don’t know the difference between England, Britain and the United Kingdom, then check out my page that gives a bit of explanation and background. Read more
