Serves me right

There’s a reason why I try to catch an earlier bus, but today I had to pop back home to pick up a jacket (for this afternoon’s thunderstorm) and now that reason is sitting next to me – her and her two brats. She pretends to be asleep while they run amok. When they pester her, she shirks them off and returns to her “sleep”.

One of the bratlings has been waving an umbrella around and the mother keeps taking it away then putting it right in front of said child. She’s alternating between trying to ignore her kids and threatening to slap them. This is fairly usual, and part of why I try to avoid them. I always seem to encounter them on the same time bus, which is punishment for me running late, I’m sure. :)

It’s only a few more stops until they get off, but it frustrates me no end that this woman can be so ignorant, so inconsiderate, and such a poor mother.

At last – they’re getting off. It’s only been 30 minutes but it starts my day off in such an annoying and negative way. Ugh.

Oh well, at for the rest of the journey I only have to put up with hearing other people’s “music”, their “private” (and sometimes graphic) phone calls, and the bone-jarring ride along Toronto’s pothole-ridden streets.

Am I glad it’s Friday? You bet!
