Referrer info
As I said the day before yesterday, the call to referrers.org was noticeably slowing the blog when loading, so I removed it. Now it’s time to find an alternative…
BBClone looks like it should do the trick … except it’s quite similar to AWstats, which I’ve already got setup to monitor the main website. Hang on – I’ve also got Webalizer installed! (It doesn’t appear to be doing anything, but it’s there.)
OK, so let’s dump the BBClone idea, and then decide which of AWStats and Webalizer to use (unless I really need both). Both can be managed through Webmin, which is nice, but I think AWStats provides the better output.
Only trouble is, I don’t see how the referrer info from AWStats (or Webalizer for that matter) can be included on the blog page, but then so what?
OK. We’re done. AWStats will continue to process my webserver’s logs, and only I can see the info. So there :p
