AZCentral: Soldier tried fake mouth-bomb in heist

An Army sergeant based at Fort Huachuca walked into a bank Monday, his mouth covered in duct tape, and presented a note saying he had a bomb in his mouth, police said.

But if you think that’s crazy, check out the photo of a robot checking his mouth!

Meanwhile, in Shropshire (that’s in England, for the uninitiated), the local newspaper reports how a woman “posed as a schoolteacher and said a little girl had been badly hurt in a road smash to dupe villagers out of cash”.

Market Drayton magistrates were told yesterday that Bridget Marie Taylor, of Prees, claimed the girl might not walk again and the money was needed for a new speed camera. Magistrates also heard, as part of her deception, the jobless mum pretended she was married to a policeman and that her own child had died of cancer.

What happened to the ill-gotten gains? She “was actually collecting money to buy her son a PlayStation which she could not afford.”
