Mercedes takes over Brawn F1 team
As many people expected, Mercedes have invested in the Brawn team. [source: BBC news]
Mercedes will buy 75% of Brawn in partnership with an Abu Dhabi investment company but will continue as McLaren’s engine partner until 2015.
This is great news for the Brawn team, but I wonder what impact it will have on McLaren. Read more »

RIAA prosecute man for humming tune
It’s not come to it yet, but given the current trend it won’t be long before someone is sued by the RIAA for humming a tune.
The Washington Post reports that the RIAA’s latest target is someone who copied their (bought) CDs onto their PC – note there’s no mention of him downloading or sharing them! Read more »

I saw the Simpsons movie yesterday, so I know what this is!
Experts are trying to identify a huge metal container that has been washed up on a beach in the Western Isles.
“It would be standing almost 30m tall and really looks pretty much like a silo. I think it’s a bulk storage tank of some sort, possibly for storing some liquids.”
Does the (as yet unknown) owner have a pet pig by any chance?
