Grand Prix of Mexico – Race

Rosberg says his anger at Hamilton won’t affect his race today [BBC] but the fact that he’s thinking about it enough to make that comment shows he is being affected by it. Maybe we’ll see more childish sulking from ROS. 🙂

Qualifying didn’t really have many surprises; the McLaren pair are at the back, and the Mercedes pair are at the front.

Provisional grid: ROS, HAM, VET, KVY, RIC, BOT, MAS, VES, PER, HUL; SAI, GRO, MAL, ERI, RAI*; ALO*, NAS, RSI, STE, BUT*
*Penalties to be applied: RAI = five-place grid drop for a gearbox change; ALO and BUT drop about 5000 places each. 🙂
Also, because BUT didn’t set a time in Q1 he’ll need to appeal to the stewards for permission to race.

Since Quali, Ferrari put a new engine in RAI’s car so he gets another penalty, dropping him behind ALO on the grid. [FIA]
