The Agile Manifesto was created 15 years ago: “February 11-13, 2001, at The Lodge at Snowbird ski resort in the Wasatch mountains of Utah, seventeen people met to talk, ski, relax, and try to find common ground and of course, to eat. What emerged was the Agile Software Development Manifesto.” [..] “The only concern with the term agile came from Martin Fowler (a Brit for those who don’t know him) who allowed that most Americans didn’t know how to pronounce the word agile.” 🙂
A lot of the elements of Agile pre-date the manifesto (e.g. Scrum, XP) so it continues to amaze me how some people think “it’s just a passing fad” or that waterfall is the only way to do things.

Someone shared the intro to Lynda.com’s “Understanding Agile Project Management” course – eek! Whoever wrote the content doesn’t have a good grasp of Agile! I found myself disagreeing with about every third bullet point!
Another Lynda.com video about Agile … except it isn’t! It’s talking about management, project controls, and some Agile practices – completely missing the mindset, self-organisation, continuous improvement, etc.
Udemy’s Scrum Introduction has better content but the presentation isn’t great (monotone reading of slides).
