The penultimate race of the year is another night race and the last Sprint format weekend of this season. The big news since Vegas is the agreement in principle for General Motors (branded as Cadillac) to join the F1 grid in the 2026 season. More worryingly there have been a series of people being fired from senior FIA positions, some of which smack of Mohammed Ben Sulayem getting rid of any dissenting voices.[BBC]
The main Constructors Championship battle is between McLaren (608 points), Ferrari (584) and Red Bull (555); McLaren need to outscore Ferrari by 21 points to take the title. As for the Drivers, NOR (340) is currently P2 but only just ahead of LEC (319).
