A big month! TOPW celebrates 350 walks, and the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy moves to Markham.
- TOPW’s 350 Walks Completed & Picnic
Every time Toronto PhotoWalks hits a “big number”, it amazes me. We’re approaching our 17th anniversary, and we went to Ward’s Island to mark our 350th walk. (The previous walk was actually #350 but the weather forecast correctly called for thunderstorms and heavy rain, so we were right to postpone the celebration.) I didn’t take many photos – too much chatting and drinking 😀

- Ontario Honda Dealers Indy (OHDI) in Markham – there’s my Best of and full album
I joined the photo team in 2010 and I’ve had many of my shots used in the official programme and website – it’s a lot of work, but (once I’ve recovered) it’s always enjoyable. Over that time it’s changed name (from “Honda Indy Toronto” to “Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto”), and this year it moved to Markham, starting a five-year commitment. The problems on Friday are well documented by many other people, so let’s move swiftly on to Saturday and Sunday – my main assignment was the Radical Cup Canada (RCC) series, which I also shot the previous couple of years, but I also shot some of the NASCAR Canada and IndyCar sessions.

NASCAR Canada Series ran qualifying and the race on Saturday

IndyCar’s qualifying session was Saturday evening, and the race was Sunday afternoon
