There are a couple of changes from the provisional grid (see my notes from Qualifying) but I’ll put everything behind the cut so as not to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t seen the race yet.
Happy birthday Rubens! Air temperature 24°C; track 45°C; humidity 69%; wind 1.5m/s Only once in the last 23 years has anyone other than those on the front 3 grid positions, so qualifying (especially Q3) is very important As I mentioned in my notes from Practice, Bridgestone have brought the soft and super-soft compounds Qualifying session […]

Both the McLarens and FM’s Ferrari ran with KERS, but both BMW Saubers and […]
Today is the 15th anniversary of Ayrton Senna’s death at the San Marino Grand Prix. I remember that weekend well – Rubens Barrichello had a serious accident in Friday qualifying and then Roland Ratzenberger died during the Saturday qualifying session, the first death in a race weekend in 13 years.
Tomorrow’s the day when McLaren will receive their punishment over lying to race officials after an incident at the Australian Grand Prix. Note: this is in addition to Lewis Hamilton being disqualified from that race for breaking the overtaking rules. It makes me laugh that they’re charged with bringing the sport into disrepute. This is […]
