Having secured first place in the Betfred Championship League, the Wolfpack still managed to draw their biggest home crowd of the season. Unfortunately Featherstone Rovers knew they had to win to stay in the top 4, and they seemed the more determined side.
At the end of the season the top 4 clubs advance to the Super 8’s where they are joined by the bottom 4 teams in the Betfred Super League. At the conclusion of the Super 8’s the top 3 clubs are awarded a place in the 2019 Super League, while the 4th and 5th placed team play off for the final place in what is dubbed the “million pound game”. The half-time entertainment included Sweat For Good and Medieval Times, who knighted Jefferson 🙂
Toronto were 10 points behind going into the second half (6-16) but as much as TPW tried, Featherstone had the upper hand. The game ended 12–30.
