It’s not as chaotic as 2020 (touch wood) but there’s been a few changes to the F1 calendar for this year, so I thought I’d post an updated version.
~~ ~~ Updated calendar posted ~~ ~~ |
The changes since my post in March are:
- Apr28: Canada (round 7, June 11-13) was dropped due to quarantine requirements; it was replaced by Turkey’s Istanbul Park track for the same weekend. [FIA]
- May14: Turkey (round 7, June 11-13) was dropped due to quarantine requirements; there won’t be a race that weekend, so France becomes round 7 but it’s also moved a week earlier (will now be Jun20); that makes room for the Styrian GP (round 8, June 25-27) at the Red Bull Ring, Spielberg, and then rest of the calendar is unchanged. [FIA]
(The other change I noticed in this updated calendar is that the Russian flag (for round 15) has been removed, which relates to December 2019’s ruling by the World Anti-Doping Agency banning the use of the Russian flag for four years. [BBC])
