The driver changes for 2023 are:
- Vettel retired; Alonso moved to Aston Martin; Gasly took that seat at Alpine; Nyck de Vries moves up from Formula E
- Ricciardo relegated to reserve driver at Red Bull; Oscar Piastri promoted from McLaren’s test driver role
- Schumacher relegated to reserve driver at Mercedes; Nico Hulkenberg takes the Haas seat having been Aston Martin’s reserve driver and stood in at two races in the 2022 season
- Nicholas Latifi was dropped by Williams; they replaced him with Logan Sargeant after his second season in Formula 2

Unusually there’s also been some musical chairs when it comes to team leadership, starting with Mattia Binotto resigning(?) from Ferrari. They brought in Vasseur from Alfa Romeo, leaving them without a principal as of January 2023.
