Rumours of a sandstorm seem to have been blown out of proportion, which is good. However it is still hot: air temperature 36°C, track 51°C. If you’ve read my notes from yesterday’s Qualifying session, (a) thank you and (b) you’ll know that the grid looks like this: JT, TG, SV, JB, LH, RB, FA, FM, […]
Fastest in the 3 practice sessions were LH, NR and TG (1:32.605). My qualifying notes are behind this cut:
My first set of notes were wiped out when the power failed, so here’s a second attempt at a summary of the practice sessions for this weekend’s Bahrain Grand Prix, the 4th race of the 2009 season.
This is a somewhat belated post – I should have written in sooner (especially as I was wearing my “I’m blogging this” T-shirt on the first day) but I was caught up dealing with Canon and other things, so this post has been evolving quite slowly. Anyway, on with the story… 🙂 We drove up […]

Lots of news to catch up on – the diffuser decision and a few other tidbits. Both Brawn GP drivers did well in practice, as did Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg and Jarno Trulli. (Fastest in all 3 sessions was JB @ 1:35.679)
I decided to do just one quick post to cover all three practice sessions. Friday practice 1: Lewis Hamilton in the McLaren was fastest (1:37.334) with Brawn GP cars of Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello taking 2nd and 3rd place in the timings.
